Calvin was a man of many talents and skills. He was a sheet rocker by trade. He was a hard
worker his whole life. As a young man he would hang sheet rock during the day and would
haul hay in the evening. As time went on, he continued to work all day and come home to
work in his garden until dark, or work in his yard. If he wasn't working in the garden, he had
a fire built and anyone who knew him always had a seat around that fire, which was a safe
place for us. What was said around the fire stayed around the fire. We all know he was a
honky tonk man who loved music, playing guitar, while singing and drinking cold beer. He
was quite the ladies man and loved to dance. As time passed on and he grew older he
watched over the family that he created, he loved the simple things in life, such as his great
grandson's coming to his little cabin for their daily cookie fix, unknown to their mother.
