Buddie Marce Thompson, 92, passed away on April 27, 2026.

Born on April 22, 1934, in Laurel, Mississippi, Buddie was the son of Roscoe and Mary Francis Thompson. He lived a long and meaningful life marked by hard work, humor, and the kind of easygoing spirit that made him beloved by so many.

Buddie proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, carrying with him a strong sense of duty and determination throughout his life. He later built a successful career as a steel fabricator and entrepreneur, known for his strong work ethic, ingenuity, and determination.

Outside of work, Buddie enjoyed motorcycles, traveling, and tinkering with anything he could get his hands on. He was happiest when he was busy building, fixing, or planning his next adventure.

Those who knew Buddie will remember his laid-back personality, quick wit, and playful sense of humor. He was always the jokester, always ready with a smile or laugh, and the kind of man people naturally enjoyed being around. To know him was to love him.

He is survived by his children: John Volk and wife Yong of San Antonio; Clifton Moore and wife Melissa of Onalaska; Brian Moore and wife Tawny of Wylie; Susan Russell and husband Chris of Vidor; and Chris Thompson of Groveton.

He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including Ginger Volk Dorsey, Blake Volk, Kristen Moore and husband Patrick Kinney, Taylor Worthington and wife Julia, Michael Hughes and fiancée Wytleigh; Heaven Rasberry, Breana Russell, Christian Root, Corey Thompson, Brandon Thompson and wife Haley, and Bentley Thompson, along with many beloved great-grandchildren; special friends, Bobby and Leighann Recknor of Mexia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Mary Francis Thompson, and his sister, Anita Adcock.
