It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our brother Billy Wayne Welch on March 5, 2017.  He passed away peacefully at his home in Lindale, Texas.

Billy was born July 25, 1955 in Crockett, Texas to Hubert Harold Welch and Vernia Marie Welch.  Billy was blessed with a beautiful daughter Chelsea Bamburg of Hamburg, Arkansas and three grandchildren Tanner, Jacob and Xander.  Billy went to high school at Robert E. Lee in Tyler, Texas.

Billy began his working career in the East Texas Oil Field at 18 years old and worked in the Oil Field for many years.  He was presently employed at Welch Excavation and Utility Company of Winona, Texas.  He was preceded in death by his mother Vernia Marie Welch in 2012 and his father Hubert Harold Welch in 1994.

Billy is survived by his daughter Chelsea Bamburg of Hamburg, Arkansas; three grandchildren Tanner, Jacob and Xander; three brothers Hugh Welch of Tyler, Texas, Russell Welch and wife Janis of Winona, Texas and Kenneth Welch of Dallas, Texas along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Bennett Cemetery in Apple Springs, Texas.
