Billy Alton Pillows passed from this life into eternity on Sunday, May 5, 2019 in Lufkin, TX, at the age of 92 years. He was born on October 12, 1926 in Crecy, TX, to Robert and Onie Mae Lee Pillows. He served in the Army after high school and worked in transport as a truck driver in Houston, TX until his retirement. He was a member of Groveton United Methodist Church, Shriners, the VFW, Lions Club, Scottish Rite, York Rite, past Master of Groveton Lodge #284, member of Eastern Star Lodge #1035 and past Master of Crockett Lodge.

Mr. Pillows is survived by his granddaughter, Lamar Sailer of Corrigan, TX; a host of other great and great-great grandchildren; sisters: Lonie Mae Fry, Nell Forest, and Melba Joy White; all of Dibol, TX; brothers: Garth Pillows of Crecy, TX and Glenn Pillows of New Caney, TX; nephew, Judd Pillows of New Caney, TX; nephew, Shane Pillows of New Caney, TX; nephew, Jason Fitch of Pasadena, TX; brother-in-law, Larry Cochran of Apple Springs, TX. Billy also leaves behind numerous other relatives and friends.

Joining Billy in Heaven are his parents, Robert and Onie Pillows, wives: Ruth Haze Pillows, Florence Baker Pillows and Wanda Cochran Pillows; son, Gerald Pillows and eight siblings.

Visitation for Billy Alton Pillows will start at 9:30 a.m. until services at 11:00 a.m. at Groveton Funeral Home on Thursday, May 9, 2019 with Rev. Jack McMahon officiating. Burial will follow in Bennett Cemetery in Groveton, TX. Mr. Pillows will be escorted to his final resting place by his Pallbearers: Darrell Forest, Jason Fitch, Judd Pillows, Jeff Hannah, Curtis Musick, Travis Forest.  Honorary Pallbearers: James Larry Cochran and Sherwood Forest.
