Billy Claude Ferguson, age 70, of Pennington, Texas, completed his earthly journey and went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 16, 2014 surrounded by his family in Crockett, Texas. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Cartwright Memorial Chapel of the Groveton Funeral Home with Jeremy Gentry officiating.

He was born on August 7, 1943 in Big Springs, Texas, to his parents, Claude and Dorthea (Roden) Ferguson. Billy later served in the United States Army and afterwards, married the love of his life, Clara Edna Ferguson. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play in their sporting events or working with their Agriculture projects. Billy was a boilermaker by trade and an avid welder. In his spare time, he enjoyed being outdoors and going hunting or fishing. He also liked to go scuba diving.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents and his wife. His survivors include his daughter, Tamela Curran and her spouse, Jason Brown; four grandchildren, Shelby Munson and spouse, Jered Munson, Shayna Jasey and spouse, Terry Miller, Thomas Brown and Jaycie Brown; brother, Mike Ferguson; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends, also survive.
