Betty Lou Reeves Fry was one of nine children to George Elmer Reeves and Artha Bell Coleman Reeves. She was born on May 29, 1944 in Onalaska, TX and was called to her eternal home on September 7, 2020 at her home in Groveton, TX at the age of 76 years.
Betty Lou was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to be outdoors to observe the wildlife and to take care of her cougar that she had raised since it was a small cub. Betty loved all wildlife in general, but she especially enjoyed sitting down by her koi pond to watch them swim. She also enjoyed going out to eat with her family. Her favorite food to eat was Chinese. Betty loved to travel and meet new people. She was a friend to many.
Mrs. Fry is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, James Fry of Groveton, TX; children: daughter, Susie Ragsdale and husband, Tracy of Trinity, TX; daughter, Debbie Aikin of Dallas, TX; son, James William Fry of California; son, David Fry of Waco, TX and son, Mikel Fry of Houston, TX; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; siblings: brother, Archie Reeves and wife, Marilyn of Trinity, TX; sister, Joyce Roberson and husband, Wayne of Huntsville, TX; siter, Margaret Reeves of Trinity, TX; sister, Rebecca Gilbert and husband, Randy of Trinity, TX; brother, Billy Reeves and wife, Donna of Trinity, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John Alvin Reeves, and Jerry Lee "Bobo" Reeves; sister, Glenda Carol Rosser and a niece, Jennifer Starling.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Groveton Funeral Home in Groveton, TX. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 11, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Groveton Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bennett Cemetery.
