Graveside services for Betty Lou Bailey, age 95 of Groveton, TX will begin Thursday, August 10, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in Boonetown Cemetery in Groveton, TX with Bro. Lester McAdams officiating.
Betty Lou Bailey was born September 29, 1927, in Ector, TX to parents, Viran Deets Thorne and Donnie Elizabeth Amelia (Davis) Thorne and returned to her heavenly home Monday, August 7, 2023, in Groveton, TX.
Betty Lou was married to her best friend, Robbie Bailey. They had three beautiful daughters and Betty Lou's greatest joy was being their mother and a homemaker.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Betty enjoyed cooking, quilting and gardening in her spare time.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robbie Bailey in 2008; parents, Viran and Donnie Thorne; sister, Aylene Taylor; brother, Donald Thorne and sons-in-law, Sammy Wilson and Danny Gilbert.
Mrs. Bailey is survived by her loving children: daughters, Deborah Wilson of Groveton, TX, Holly Gilbert of Willis, TX, and LuAnn Fortenberry and husband, Lowell of Wimberly, TX; grandchildren: Trilby Fortenberry, Robbie David Wilson and wife, Mandy, Brad Wilson, Lodin Fortenberry, and Chris Gilbert; great-grandchildren:  Peyton Ordaz, Mercedes Wilson, Gunner Wilson, Avery Wilson, and Blaine Wilson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
