On March 1, 2024, Barbara Marie Wright went home to be with the Lord at the age of eighty-seven.
She was born on June 25, 1936, to Otis Williams and Vivian (Campbell) Sivil, in Kennard, Texas. She grew up and spent most of her life in Galena Park, Texas. Barbara loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them as often as possible. She especially enjoyed time with her beloved grandchildren.  Barbara also loved being outdoors where she could garden and spend time with the Lord. She put her hope and trust in God. She was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Nogales Prairie.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husbands: Lewis F. Wright and Billy J. Wright; mother, Vivian Sivil; father, Charles E. Sivil.
She is survived by her children: daughter, Judy D. Elkins and husband, Bill E. Elkins of Pasadena, TX; son, Kelly F. Wright of Needville; grandchildren: Tara E. Menard and husband, K.J. Menard, Ashley Hargrove and husband, Eric Hargrove, Maigan Henderson and husband, Cody Henderson, Levi Wright and wife, Janelle Wright, and Lane Wright; great-grandchildren: Dylan Menard, Katelyn Menard, Jackson Menard, Julia Menard, Kasen Hargrove, Joseph Cash Hargrove, Ava Elizabeth Hargrove, Railyn Henderson, Whitley Henderson, Abraham Henderson, Everleigh Henderson, Cody Henderson, Jr., and Adley Wright; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Death leaves a memory no one can heal. But love leaves a memory no one can steal. She will always be loved and missed dearly by her family and friends.

Friends and family are cordially invited to visitation from 12 pm until 2 pm on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the Calvary Baptist Church of Nogales Prairie. Celebration of life service to follow at 2 pm at the Calvary Baptist Church of Nogales Prairie with Brother James Whittlesey officiating. Burial to follow at Ivie Cemetery in Kennard, TX.  The family will have a reception afterwards at Calvary Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
