Barbara Ellen (Norsworthy) McAdams, of Groveton, Texas, was born on February 14, 1933, to Henrey Norsworthy and Jennett (Kennedy) Norsworthy in Groveton, Texas and passed away peacefully to her eternal home in heaven on December 11, 2021, at the age of 88 years at her home surrounded by family.

Barbara loved to work gardening, Farming, and ranching. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend to many. Barbara loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to cook and take food to others. Hunting was one of her favorite things to do, when she was able.

Barbara is survived by her children: son, Lester McAdams and wife, Terrie; son, Delbert McAdams; five granddaughters: Marsha Truss and husband, Steven, Nicole Ashworth and husband, Charlie, Amanda (Mandi) Beggs and husband, Joe, Stacey King and husband, Darrell, Alissa Anthony and husband, Joey; step- grandchildren: Blake Bass and wife Rosa, Carol Cotton and husband, Matthew, Amber Flarity and husband, Ryan; 16 great grandchildren; siblings: sisters: Ola Mae Holmes Lowery; brother: Marvin Norsworthy; sister: Imajean Marburger Andrews; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives, and friends also survive.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Sidney McAdams; parents: Henrey and Jennett Norsworthy; brothers: Raymon Norsworthy, John Henery Norsworthy, Willie Norsworthy, and Charlie Norsworthy.

The family will welcome visitors beginning Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at 5 PM until 7 PM at Groveton Funeral Home Chapel. Celebration of Life Services will be held Thursday, December 16, 2021, at 10 AM at the Groveton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. H.J. Billingsley officiating. Burial will follow in the Moore Cemetery.
