On August 2, 2024, Barbara Ann Sullivan Fry went home to be with the Lord at the age of seventy-five.
She was born on September 25, 1948, to Glenn and Jackie (Pharris) Sullivan, in Freeport, Texas. Barbara was raised of the Baptist faith, and she enjoyed attending services for as long as her health would allow. Barbara married her best friend Kenneth Fry in December of 1969. She loved her family and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren as often as possible. She loved to cook for her family and friends. She also enjoyed sewing, doing any kind of crafts, ceramics, baking and decorating for the holidays. She really loved Halloween because that is when she got to see all the children dressed up in their costumes and handing out her homemade goodies.

Mrs. Fry was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kenneth Fry in 2015; parents, Glenn and Jackie Sullivan; sister, Carol McComb; brother, Donald Glen Sullivan.

She is survived by her children: son, Randall Fry and wife, Robin of Apple Springs, Texas; son, Dwayne Fry and Sandra Tucker of Apple Springs, Texas; grandchildren: Brittany Burke and husband, Michael of Lufkin, Texas, Tyler Fry of Apple Springs, Texas, Lynsey Fry and Wes Avery of Pennington, Texas, Wrangler Fry and Haley Holcombe of Apple Springs, Texas, Lacer Fry of Apple Springs, Texas; great grandchildren, Brayden, Carson, Bryley, Hadley, Rhett, Maelee, Roan, Ryder, Rhegan, and Avery; sister, Becky Hatton and husband, Asa of Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends also survive.

Death leaves a memory no one can heal. But love leaves a memory no one can steal. She will always be loved and missed dearly by her family and friends.
Friends and family are cordially invited to visitation from 6 pm until 8 pm on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Groveton Funeral Home in the Cartwright Memorial Chapel. Celebration of life services to follow on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 10 am at the Groveton Funeral Home with Bro. Lester McAdams officiating. Interment Mount Zion Cemetery.
