Visitation for Barbara Jean Davis Welborn, age 90 of Nogales Prairie will begin Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. until funeral service time at 2:00 p.m. in the Cartwright Memorial Chapel of Groveton Funeral Home in Groveton, with James Whittlesey officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Nogales Prairie.

Barbara Jean Davis Welborn went to be with the Lord on September 9, 2023. She was born August 31, 1933, in Coffeyville, North Kansas, and moved to Houston on her tenth birthday where she lived until 1982 when she and husband, Glenn moved to Nogales Prairie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas "Glenn" Welborn; son, Thomas "Tommy" Welborn; mother, Bernice Lee Davis; father, Elmer White; stepfather, Silas Raymond Davis; brother, Silas Raymond Davis, Jr.; sisters, Lula Ruth Lee Hunten, and Alya Ray Davis Phillips.
Barbara is survived by her two daughters, Gwen Welborn Anders of Houston, and Linda Welborn Townsend and husband, Joey of Nogales Prairie; granddaughter, Becky Anders Kossa and husband, Eddie of Huffman; grandsons, Thomas "Clint" Anders of Houston, Matthew Townsend and wife, Holly of Nogales Prairie; great-grandsons, Chace Daniel and wife, Lexi of Dallas, Mikah Daniel, Michael Kossa, Thomas "Joshua" Anders, Noah Anders, Daniel Kossa, Matthew Townsend, Jr., Westyn McDougald; great-granddaughters, Rachael Kossa, Addisyn Farkas, Naomi Townsend, and Peyton Mettlen; second great-grandson, Thomas "Blaze Anders; second great-granddaughter, Violet Daniel and many other nieces, nephews, and other relatives and her beloved dog Izzy.
