Avis Pauline Coker, of Lufkin, Texas, completed her earthly journey on December 22, 2013. Pauline was born on June 2, 1923 in Vivian, Louisiana but lived in Texas most of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Coker, Jr. "Jimmy." Pauline is survived by her sons, Jim Coker and wife, Jessie, of Bronson and Tim Coker of Groveton; four grandchildren, James Coker and his wife, Patty, of Seabrook, Stephen D. Coker, of Austin, Stephen C. Coker, of Pennsylvania, and Jamie Coker, of Katy; two great grandchildren, Peyton and Bailey of Seabrook; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pauline was a long time resident of Groveton and most recently a resident at Pinecrest Retirement Community. She leaves behind a host of friends and fellow bridge, canasta and domino players.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Glenwood Cemetery in Groveton, Texas with Dr. Andy Pittman officiating.
