Angela Dawn Burress, of Groveton, formerly of Huntington was born on October 14, 1966, to Thomas Edward Burress and Hazel Marie (Owens) Hambrick in Lufkin, Texas and passed away peacefully to her eternal home in heaven on February 17, 2022, at the age of 55 years in Groveton, Texas.
Angela loved to visit with family and friends, especially her baby brother "Scooter." She particularly enjoyed decorating for the holidays and taking "Scooter" wherever he needed to go. She had a special bond with him. She also loved animals and she especially enjoyed horses. Angela raised cats and her pet dog "Sebastian." She loved the Lord and enjoyed attending church services at Josserand Baptist Church while her health allowed.
Angela is survived by her two brothers: Lance Burress of Huntsville and Dustin "Scooter" Elrod of Groveton; niece, Samantha Burress; nephew, Maccowlan Burress; special uncle and aunt, Randall Owens and wife, Barbara of Groveton; special uncle, Donald Owens of Corrigan; special cousins, Ashley Messer, Shelly McKee, Kevin Owens, and Kayla Woodrome; great nephews, Issac Cisneros, and Levi Cisneros; and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives, and friends also survive.
Angela is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Edward Burress, mother, Hazel Marie Hambrick, maternal grandparents, Dock and Addie Owens.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 25, 2022, at Glenwood Cemetery in Groveton, Texas with Dr. Keith Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery in Groveton.
