Funeral services for Alyce Belle Carmichael, 88 of Nogalus Prairie will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Prairie View Methodist Church of Nogalus Prairie.  Burial will follow in Bennett Cemetery in Apple Springs, Texas.  The family will receive visitors from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. service time at Prairie View Methodist Church in Nogalus Prairie, Texas on Wednesday morning.

Alyce was born on January 19, 1930 in Troy, Texas to Robert and Addie Belle Wood.  God called Mrs. Carmichael home on Friday, January 19, 2018 at a local hospital in Lufkin, Texas.

Mrs. Carmichael is preceded in death by her parents.  She is survived by her loving husband, Tilden "T.S." Carmichael of Nogalus Prairie; daughter, Sandra Rice of Alvin; son, Stephen Carmichael of Houston; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends
