Memorial Services for Allie Ray, 98 of Burkeville, formerly of Groveton will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 28 ^th, 2017 in the Cartwright Memorial Chapel of Groveton Funeral Home with Jarret Turner officiating.

Allie was born August 23 ^rd, 1918 in Fayette, Alabama and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 14 ^th, 2017 in Burkeville, Texas.  She is preceded in death by her parents William and Alice (McCluskey) McDonald; husband Alvin Ray and her siblings.

Mrs. Ray enjoyed life and she especially enjoyed spending time with her family.  She loved to be outdoors in her garden.  She was known for her "green thumb."

Mrs. Ray is survived by her children: daughter Sharron Ray of Burkeville, Texas, daughter Carolyn Rogers of Burkeville, Texas, son David Ray of Humble, Texas and son Larry Ray and wife Mary of Spring, Texas; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and many friends.
